Join Stephen Chrisman and Roderigo Bollat Montengro for Drawing the Classical. This two day course is organized and supported between the ICAA National Office in New York, The ICAA Washington Mid-Atlantic Chapter, and the School of Architecture and Planning, Catholic University of America. The course is part of the on-going series on Analytical and Measured Drawing. The Federal Triangle of Washington D.C. is one of the foremost groupings of classical buildings in the country, designed by early twentieth century preeminent architects including John Russell Pope, Arthur Brown, and Delano & Aldrich. The course will provide an opportunity to carefully study, measure and draw a variety of classical elements and details. The course will also incorporate discussion on sources of precedents and the adaptation of precedents for new design.
