Thursday, June 16th
5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
The Jefferson Hotel
101 W Franklin Street
Richmond, VA 23220
The Jefferson Hotel, which opened in 1895, is a great example of the work of the firm of Carrère and Hastings. The young firm brought the full force of their training at the École to bear at this sumptuous project, generously funded by tobacco magnate Lewis Ginter as a gift to his adopted city. Enjoy a private tour of the hotel with architect and historian Gibson Worsham, who has closely studied the architects and their hotel. The event will be followed by fellowship in the bar of the hotel’s elegant restaurant, Lemaire.
This event is organized by the chapter’s Central Virginia Steering Committee.
Cost: $5 for ICAA Members and $10 for Non-Members.
