1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Dumbarton Oaks in Georgetown
1703 32nd St NW
Washington, DC 20007
Columns & Coffee is a monthly social sketching excursion led by the L’Enfants, the emerging architects branch of the ICAA-WMA.
Please note: most of our Columns & Coffee events occur in the morning; This month we will be meeting in the afternoon.
This month, we will be sketching in the gardens at Dumbarton Oaks. Designed in 1921 by the only female founder of the American Society of Landscape Architects, Beatrix Farrand, the garden is an elegant oasis in Georgetown.
This will be one of the last opportunities to view the gardens before they undergo renovations for the remainder of the year. Participants should be prepared to bring their own materials.
We will meet at the Starbucks at 1810 Wisconsin Ave NW at 1:30pm. Note that this is different than the typical time, as the gardens are only open during the afternoon. We will be sketching for about 2.5-3 hours, but people are welcome to come and go as they please.
In the event of rain, we will relocate to the museum interior.
