7:15 pm Panel Discussion

St. John's Episcopal ~ Georgetown

Please join WMA ICAA for a panel discussion.  In this lively one-hour conversation, leading interior designer Patrick Sutton will engage with architect Thomas A. Kligerman and architect John Ike, two of the three founders of the eponymous and acclaimed design firm Ike Kligerman Barkley of New York City and San Francisco. For this distinguished design firm, the study and application of shingle architecture spurs creativity, enables new answers to old questions, and requires opening one’s mind as well as one’s eyes. We will hear why they believe the American romance with the shingle style has lasted nearly 150 years and how they combine the modern necessities of today within this iconic style in the award-winning work of their firm. Following Q and A, the architects will sell copies of their recently released “The New Shingled House,” and will illustrate each book with a personalized sketch as well as signature.

Cost: $25 ICAA Members and Employees of ICAA Professional Member Firms / $40 General Public / $15 L’Enfants and Students
