Join the Washington Mid Atlantic ICAA as the Education Committee presents a workshop focused on watercolor rendering.

This course will provide an introduction to the practice of architectural rendering in wash.  The instructors will demonstrate some basic techniques of wash rendering by guiding participants step-by-step through rendering an 8” X 8” plate using watercolors in warm and cool tones.  The subject will be a Grecian Doric column capital; participants will render their own capital to take home.  The instructors will also provide information on the history of the Grecian Doric order, how it differs from the Roman Doric order, and where examples of the Grecian Doric can be found throughout Washington, D.C.

Lunch, as well as rendering materials, will be provided.
