Glave & Holmes Architecture invites you to explore why so many contemporary classical designs don’t seem to look quite right, and how you can make sure your design meets the highest standards of Classical Design.

Join visiting professor Peter Hodson as he returns to Virginia Commonwealth University for his 22nd classical design course, having taught classical design since 1977 at the University of Portsmouth School of Architecture in England, the Royal College of Art and at the Prince Wales’s Institute of Architecture in London.

The aim of this course has been neatly expressed by Calder Loth: “No architect or designer would allow a semi-literate, misspelled, or ungrammatical letter to go out their office – so why would they allow an incorrect, poorly proportioned and mis-detailed classical design to…?”
